Alex Plante (she/her) is a multi-disciplinary Canadian artist based out of Winnipeg, MB that specializes in illustration, comics/cartoons, and murals.
She started drawing and painting digitally in 2004, and has been a full-time artist since 2018, and has done illustration work for CBC, Bell Media, Rogers Sports & Media, Cambrian Credit Union, Winnipeg Goldeyes and The City of Winnipeg, among others.
Alex has a film degree from the University of Winnipeg. Despite the fact that she no longer works on TV and film sets, Alex has since found her film knowledge and skills very helpful in her pursuit of comics.
Alex considers it a personal mission as an artist to visually sing the praises of her criminally underappreciated home province of Manitoba.
When she's not busy drawing pictures of fat birds, you'll find her skating on the river trail, spending too much money on hobbies she'll only be interested in for 2 months, and spending time on the floor at home with her partner and two gremlins (one human child, one cat)
